ANNUAL NSS CAMP INAUGURATION

St. Mary’s PU College, Shirva, inaugurated its Annual NSS Camp on October 3rd at St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Belman.

Mr. Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Media, inaugurated the camp. In his motivational speech, he shared inspiring thoughts and fondly recalled his own experiences as an NSS volunteer during his college days. He was also honored by the college administration during the event.

Fr.  Fredrick Mascharenhas, Correspondent of St Joseph’s School, Belman graced the inaugural ceremony with his presence.

Mr. Melwin Aranha, Vice President of the Shirva Church Pastoral Committee. Mrs. Lydwin Aranha, Head Mistress of St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Belman, Mrs. Flavia D’Souza, Secretary of the Shirva Church Pastoral Committee  and Mr. Gregory Menezes, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Committee, Belman were the dignitaries present in the program.

Mr. Jayashankar K, the Principal, welcomed the gathering. NSS officer Mrs. Maria Jacintha Furtado gave an overview of the seven-day program for the annual NSS camp.

In his presidential address, Rev. Fr. Dr Leslie Clifford D’ Souza, Correspondent of St Mary’s PU College, Shirva said, “The institution is celebrating its golden jubilee this academic year. NSS volunteers are known for their discipline, time management, and service-oriented mindsets. Along with educational achievements, service activities like the NSS are also important”.

Mr. Edward Larsen D’ Souza, NSS co-convener, delivered the vote of thanks and Miss. Nikitha compered the program.
