Kaup Taluk Level Football Tournament was held on 24th Sept. 2024, Tuesday in our college.
The Inauguration program was presided by Rotarian Mr. Melwyn D’Souza, Lawyer.
Ln. Mr. Norbert Machado, President of St. Mary’s Alumni Association, Ln. Mr. Melwyn Aranha, Vice President, Shirva Church Pastoral Committee were present in the program.
Mr.Jayashankar K ,Principal of St. Mary’s P.U College, Shirva welcomed the gathering.
The Correspondent V. Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie C D’Souza was the President of the program.
St. Mary’s P.U College, Shirva were the Winners and Poorna Prajna P.U College, Admar were the Runners up of boys Category and in girls team of St. Mary’s P.U College, Shirva declared as the Winners and qualified for the District level.
Mr. Joseph Dsouza, Physical Director proposed Vote of Thanks.
Mrs. Shalini Jyothi Lobo, compared the program. Total 09 teams took part in the tournament.
NSS Day was celebrated on 21st September 2024 at 12.00 noon in C.S Hall. Members invoked prayer.
NSS Program Officer Mrs. Maria Jecintha Furtado welcomed all. Mr. Edward Larson D’Souza, NSS Asst. Camp Officer spoke on NSS Day and International Peace Day.
Chief Guest honoured the prizes to the member of the competitions. Chief Guest Mr. Mewyn Castelino, NSS Officer of St. Mary’s College addressed the members to “Rise High the NSS Service” and hold joint venture service of NSS in the campus.
Mr. Jayashankar K , our Principal bestowed Best Wishes to all NSS unit and appreciated the work and service.
Lucky Draw chit was chosen by the Correspondent and Shabhari Shetty was the winner.
Mr. Vivek, old student of the college now working for the Central Reserve Police Force addressed the students and raised the highness of service to Indian Defense Force.
Mr. Melwyn Arahna, Vice President, Shirva Parish Church Council filled cheer amongst students and shared his NSS experiences as Alumni of the College.
Correspondent, the President of the Program appreciated the work of NSS and continues the same.
Sinchit of IA proposed Vote of Thanks. All members sung the NSS Song “Rashtriya Seva Yojana”.

Jnanaganaga P.U College, Nellikatte, Moodubelle were the winners and St. Mary’s P.U College, Shirva runners up of boys Category and in girls category Jnanaganaga P.U College, Nellikatte, Moodubelle were the winners and Poornaprajna P.U College, Admar were runners up.
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated in our college on 15th August 2024. Ln. Charles Mohan Noronha, President of Lions Club Shirva was the Chief Guest of the program.

Mrs. Maria Jacintha Furtado proposed Vote of Thanks. Mrs. Priyanka Gomes had compered the program. The program was followed by the Talents Day Celebration for students.

Guest and Pilot Speaker Mr. Premnath, Lecturer of St. Mary’s College, Shirva was the one who presented variety of programs and activities to NSS unit. He said membership in NSS is a proud feeling ‘Service to Nation’.
Principal, Mr. Jayashankar K bestowed best wishes to NSS and appreciated the NSS camp 2023. Correspondent Very.Rev.Fr.Dr.Lesly C D’Souza had the presidential address and called upon NSS. Members to do service to the College and Nation to nurture qualities of leadership.
NSS leader and CPL of the college Prathvi was honored with a flower by the guest.Principal gave a Momento of the Golden Jubilee Year to the resource guest. NSS Asst. Leader Sannidhi proposed Vote of Thanks. College lecturers and staff members were present in the function.
A joint venture rally with a procession was undertaken on 24th June 2024 by Police Station Shirva and St. Mary’s PU College along with the NSS unit of the PU College. To promote students for a good life and health all the students vowed and said “Say No To Drugs” .
Principal, staff members and NSS Officer coordinated this Rally marching from the main gateway of the college to main streets of Shirva.
Our Principal, Mr. Jayashankar warmly welcomed the gathering and lecturers coordinated the students for slogans.
Mr. Anil Kumar, Sub Inspector, Shirva Police Station addressed the students on the awareness on drug abuse. He raised awareness among students and told them to promote Anti Drug Activities within them and others.
